This project involved creating a commemorative certificate for the Canadian Embassy in Brasília to honor the Brazilian firefighters who assisted in combating the 2023 British Columbia wildfires.
Design Concept:
The certificate features a frame that symbolizes fire, smoke, and the rugged landscape of the Shuswap and Okanagan regions in British Columbia. The design draws inspiration from the iconic BC hills, integrating elements such as Totem poles and Inukshuk stones, reflecting the cultural heritage of Stanley Park.
Variations:
Multiple color variations were created to offer a range of options, ensuring the final design captured the solemnity and significance of the occasion while honoring the bravery and solidarity of the firefighters.
This project was an opportunity to blend cultural symbolism with a meaningful cause, resulting in a design that both commemorates and celebrates international cooperation.
