A new project with Dr. Annie Wan. WIP. More information coming soon.

The Immigrant Oral History project combines Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to create emotionally engaging, first-person narrative experiences. It explores themes of migration, cultural identity, and memory through dual narratives that allow users to switch perspectives and experience diverse immigrant stories.
This innovative project employs immersive VR environments and AI-driven artifact generation to authentically represent the complex emotional landscapes of immigrants. By situating users in poignant settings such as airports, domestic spaces, and surreal memory-scapes, the project vividly illustrates the psychological and emotional dimensions of living between two worlds.
Central to this work is the principle of participatory storytelling, ensuring authentic representation through community involvement. The Immigrant Oral History project aims not only to document personal and collective histories but also to foster empathy and deeper understanding across diverse audiences, redefining traditional narrative frameworks and archival practices through cutting-edge interactive technologies.
